Research: On TREK-1-expressing HEK cells, PE 22-28 blocked the channel with an IC50 of 0.12 nM against 40 to 60 nM for spadin. In mice it cut immobility in the forced swim test, and its action lasted up to 23 hours against seven for spadin (Djillani et al, Front Pharmacol 2017;8:643, PMID 28955242). No human study exists.
