A synthetic pentadecapeptide based on a sequence found in gastric juice, studied mostly in rodents for tendon, muscle and gut injury. It is not approved for human use. Available from 63 vendors, priced from $19.99 to $599.50.
Research: The only published human report is a retrospective chart review of 12 patients treated for knee pain in 2019 and 2020, with follow-up by phone survey (Lee and Padgett, Altern Ther Health Med 2021;27(4):8-13, PMID 34324435). Eleven of the 12 reported improvement, and 7 reported relief lasting six months to a year. The authors state that measurements were all subjective and that no objective testing was performed.
Side effects: The chart review above reports no adverse events, and it did no objective testing of any kind. No adverse event table from a controlled human trial has been published
Research compoundNot FDA approved. Placed in Category 2 of the FDA's interim 503A bulk drug substances list on 29 September 2023 over immunogenicity and impurity concerns, and reviewed by the Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee on 23 and 24 July 2026. Prohibited by WADA.
