Research: In diet-induced obese MICE, 5-Amino-1MQ dose-dependently limited body weight and fat mass gains, improved oral glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity, and reduced hepatic steatosis and liver triglycerides (Neelakantan et al, Diabetes Obes Metab 2024, PMID 39161060). Two separate reviews of NNMT-targeted compounds, in 2021 and 2024, state that no clinical trials of any of them exist.
